Falling Head Over Heels
by Kimberly Walton
A girlfriend set me up on a blind date with her cousin. He was described as a very successful attorney who had never married and possessed the requisite fantastic sense of humor.
We were to meet in a downtown location near a fountain. I did not have a picture, nor did he. After waiting an interminable half hour, I finally checked my phone for recent calls. Out of respect for my upcoming date, I had turned the phone off prior to reaching the fountain. There were several calls from my date who was waiting at a different fountain!
Finally we were able to meet and found a table in an exclusive restaurant. I ordered a very creamy pasta even though I have strong reactions to milk products. The lactose pills I swallowed must have been some type of placebo because I could see my date’s mouth moving but couldn’t hear anything. Tunnel vision, oh no! I excused myself, took two steps toward the ladies room and passed out cold! My head hit the table on my way down.
Finally coming to, I looked around and hoped that the crowd that had gathered was for someone else. No such luck. Embarrassed beyond belief, I returned to my date. He stated that no one had ever fallen head over heels for him like that! He was a gentleman and helped me to regain my sense of well-being.
The next day I received a basket of fruit from my date. Included in the gift was a large can of non-dairy whipped topping!

Judith & Jim,
We are so thankful that you love this house so much. It makes us feel better having to leave it knowing that you will love as much as we still do. We have a couple of pictures of the front yard in bloom since you didn’t get to see it blooming and it will be done by the time you get here. Where can we email them to, so that you can put them on your website, should you want to share them. Also, the story about the dog made us cry. We are major dog nuts and have two yorkies that we adore, can’t wait for you to meet them.
